I’ve had a lot of people ask me why this show is my favorite tv show of all time, and I always have trouble explaining it. It’s something that I can’t put into just one or two sentences. I love it for so many reasons, so I thought I’d post them here.
- The show is relatable - simple as that. It’s a show about life. Who wouldn’t like that?
- It has the best humor. There are just as many intelligent jokes as there are dumb, childish ones. I can always count on this show to make me smile, no matter what.
- It’s fiction, but it’s realistic. It deals with things that could happen to anyone in real life, without being too over-dramatic like today’s “teen dramas”. No drug addictions, crazy sex, etc. And yet it still managed to stay interesting.
- Every episode has a lesson to be learned. Sometimes, even two or three.
- A lot of episodes (especially in the first and second season) have a theme or message that coincides with a famous piece of literature that the main characters happen to be reading at that time in their English class. Some exampples include: The Diary of Anne Frank, The Grapes of Wrath, Romeo and Juliet, The Odyssey, and Much Ado About Nothing.
- The strong emphasis on family. It’s one of the most likeable things about the show. I’ve never had a great relationship with my family, but I’ve always told myself that when I start my own family, I want it to be similar to the Matthews family. Of course I realize that it can’t be exactly the same - it IS a tv show, after all - but I always appreciated their devotion and loyalty to each other. The parents were always there for the kids, even in their toughest times. They always encouraged them to do their best. They always taught them lessons and disciplined them without doing anything cruel or irrational. They understood the mistakes that their children made because they talked about them - they actually LISTENED to their kids and respected their opinions. I always admired the great bond that every member of the family had with each other.
- Cory and Topanga’s relationship. Like most fans, this is my favorite thing about the entire series. I love everything about it. I love that they’ve known each other since they were 2 or 3 years old. I love that they went through an awkward stage in middle school where they didn’t get along. I love that Topanga gave Cory his first kiss during one of the most embarrassing days of his life. I love that they had a relationship where they talked about everything, had romantic times together, and still managed to have their own lives. And though they have one of the best relationships ever portrayed on fictional tv, I love that their relationship wasn’t perfect. They argued. They disagreed. They broke up (more than once). One of them even cheated. But the reason their relationship worked until the very end is because they made it work. Despite everything they faced, they always found a way back to each other and never lost sight of their love for each other. Ever since I watched this show as a kid, I’ve always hoped to have a relationship that would give me that much hope and fulfillment. Their relationship remains an inspiration to me even to this day.
1) Was moving gyms the right decision?
2) Who invented school?
3) Why did Heidi Montag get plastic surgery?
4) Sometimes I think that I’m adopted, so I wonder if my parents are hiding that I am….?o.O
5) Who came up with words?
6) Why is number 6 the devil number and why is the number 7 lucky?
7) Who said the first word?
Don’t make me feel like I have to impress you, accept me for who I am.
Be nice to me
Make me laugh
Don’t be super aggressive and fight with me a lot
DON’T BE SUPER COCKY IT’S ANNOYING
Realize that I have to be with my friends too sometimes.
Don’t send me really cheezy/weird things like “I can only think about you.” or “You are the best girl I have ever met.” those make me feel awkward and I don’t know what to say back.
I have to be physically attracted to you…
I think blonde girls have more power than any other hair color. There is a stereo type for blondes like being dumb or ditzy. I think every blonde should show people that blondes aren’t really ditzy. I think blondes can do more effective things than brunettes or red heads. I think blondes can be the people to make a difference. I think blondes can change their stereotype.
1) I gave up a lot of things in my life to become a good competitive cheerleader.

5) I could eat asian food everyday, all day.
6) I think anything from the ocean is really gross to eat, no matter how good it tastes, as soon as I find out it’s fish I quit eating it.
7) I think when people use double letters when the type (ex: sooo youuu shouldd commme overrr.) is really annoying, but I do it anyways.
8) I like being awkward, it’s fun.
9) I am overly obsessed with The Hills. I actually just finished watching 3 episodes of it. I will meet Lauren Conrad and Brody Jenner.
1) If you had put me on the level I deserved to be on last year, it might have affected my decision. You were the best coach I had ever had and I was always so close with you and had so much fun at practices because you were so fun. I wish me moving gyms didn’t affect us this much. I wish you still talked to me.
2) I wish that 8th grade never happened and I never met you. You suck.
3) I wish you didn’t have to move, we grew apart but I still consider you one of my very best friends.
4) Stop talking about her and pick me already.
5) I’m sorry I never spend time with you anymore, I love you.
6) Just because I have a new friend, doesn’t mean we have to grow apart.
7) Stop being such a whore and have a little more self respect.
8) Stop being hurt and get back in the game right now, Sidney Crosby.
